This parable has the Grace of God all over it. A landowner hired men to work in his vineyard at 5 different times throughout the day. Their job was to pick grapes before the rains came. Some were hired at 6am, 9am, 1 noon, 3pm and 5pm. The men worked all day.
at then end of the day they were all paid for their labor. It was a surprising outcome. The ones who were hired at 5pm received the same py as those hired at 6am! Was this a discrepancy? the 6am workers thought so.
